FanDuel Sportsbook Odds Boost Review 3/5/24

It’s been a terrible week so far for all you Mullar heads out there.  Mullar’s Army has lost on three straight odds boosts, despite impeccable analysis and stat checking to ensure the odds were in fact in our favor.  But this is still gambling Mullar men and we are still taking on risk.  Three losses in a row is not enough to stop us but unfortunately today’s boosts are not worthwhile.

Tatum has scored 30+ with 3+ Threes in only 8 of his 27 games in 2024 for a 29% hit rate.  The implied odds here of 33% are a bit higher and we’re not getting any advantage from the boost, in fact the odds are still stacked in the house’s favor.

This boost is more tempting but I’m still inclined to say it’s a no-go.  Durant has scored 25+ points in 50% of his games this calendar year, while Jokic has done it in 69% of his games.  That gives us roughly a 35% hit rate on this bet if those numbers hold and at +200 odds we are again looking at 33% implied odds for this one.

Conclusion:

If you boys want to start digging yourselves out of this hole tonight these boosts are not the place to do it.  There might be a very slight odds advantage for the Durant/Jokic bet but I don’t recommend going with a boost unless we clearly have the odds in our favor.  I say we stay patient and wait for what will likely be better opportunities later this week.
