Fanduel Sportsbook Odds Boost Review 2/29/24

Any experienced gambler knows that the odds are always stacked in the house’s favor.  The house takes juice on everything and sports betting is no different.  Odds boosts are the one time the juice could go back in the gambler’s favor (if the boost isn’t a trap), so scouring various sportsbooks for sweet boosts is a solid strategy towards keeping your bankroll up in the green.  I’ll be tracking the Fanduel boost odds as often as possible to see if these end up being worthwhile.

Let’s start by taking a look at today’s Fanduel odds boost and see if it’s worthwhile or if it’s a trap to try to bait us into a bad bet.  Fanduel is offering us Steph Curry and Donte Divencenzo to hit a combined 9+ threes at +100 odds.  The original odds are listed at -220.

Just taking a quick look at the yearly stats, Steph is averaging 4.9 made threes per contest this season, while Divencenzo is averaging 3.2 for the season.  That gets us close to the 9 threes required for the boost to hit but it’s not enough to justify odds of +100 (implying a 50/50 hit rate).  However, Divencenzo is averaging 4.8 threes per game this month and hit 7 in his last game against the Pelicans.  The Knicks have suffered some recent injuries and Donte has had to take on a larger role, leading to more shots and more made threes.

Conclusion

With Steph averaging 4.9 made threes on the season and with Donte averaging 4.8 threes this month on the new-look Knicks, I do like this bet at +100 odds and I would rate it as a true and fair boosted opportunity.  With some basic vetting to weed out the obvious traps, let’s see if we can actually boost our bankroll by taking advantage of the best boosts that Fanduel has to offer.  Starting today, I’ll be keeping a tally with updates on the success rates of these bets, so let’s see if we can start off 1-0 with this boosted opportunity.
